“簇发光国际会议”将于2021年8月10日至13日在浙江省海宁市举行。此次国际会议旨在通过汇聚全球有机、金属有机和无机发光材料等领域专家学者的学术观点,针对发光材料在光物理机制探究、材料制备和功能化应用等方向存在的关键科学性问题,充分深入讨论,推动簇发光研究范式的转变。通过对比不同分子及其聚集体的发光行为和理论机制,揭示有机、金属有机和无机簇可能的共性光物理机制。此次国际会议致力于促进学科纵深交叉,为不同领域的专家提供自由的学术交流平台,为发光材料的理论探索、功能拓展和实际应用提供空间,为合成化学和材料化学带来新的增长点。

The study of luminescence not only shows great scientific significance but also has huge application potential on optical display, biological imaging, chemical sensing, etc. The variation of photophysical properties for luminophores from molecular species to aggregates has revealed the unusual structure-property relationships of clusteroluminescence. The representative materials with clusteroluminescence include non-conjugated organic molecules and polymers, carbon dots, metal nanoclusters, quantum dots, and so on. However, different areas have a diverse definition of “cluster” and there are no unified aggregate photophysical theories for these materials, some of them even show ambiguous luminescent mechanisms, which limits the further development of photophysics. In view of this, we proposed to hold the International Conference on Clusteroluminescence (ICC) and gather the global experts in different areas of clusteroluminescent materials, aiming at the key scientific issues in these areas, especially the problems of photophysical mechanisms. It is expected to promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration, then break the current paradigm of photophysical research. It can not only provide a solid theoretical foundation for the development of clusteroluminescence but also bring a new development opportunity for synthetic chemistry, which also accords with the reform direction and goal of synthetic chemistry research in China.
